Teaching Assistant

We have 1 post for Teaching Assistants:

1 x 8:40 - 12:45pm 5 days a week, term time only

 1 x 11:45- 3:20pm 5 days a week, term time only

Alternatively, this post could be adapted to one full time post. 8:40am - 3:20 pm with 1/2 hour for lunch.

Pay scale: Grade C from £10.98 per hour

This post is to support a child in reception with complex additional needs and is combined with a Meal Time Assistant post.

We are looking for keen and enthusiastic applicants to join our committed, hardworking team at Bassetts Farm. Applications would be welcomed from well-motivated people who would be able to work effectively under the direction of the class teacher and SENDco whilst using their own initiative.

Sports Coach

Required from January 2023

At Bassetts Farm Primary School, we are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced sports coach/ PE HLTA who can deliver fun and engaging sports/ PE lessons across the primary phase (Reception to Year 6) on a daily basis. This role will entail offering PE sessions during the class teachers PPA time and after school sports duties.

This primary school is looking for someone who will promote sporting across the school and encourage children to develop their passions in sport. You will have the opportunity to involve the school into local sporting competitions.

This role is part time Monday to Friday 11:45 am - 4:30, term time only.

The post is required from January 2023, however, this can be flexible to fit with the right candidate.

Pay scale: HLTA grade D, scale 7 – 12, starting at £11.59 per hour.

The Ideal Primary School Sports Coach/ PE HLTA:

  • Is passionate about sports for all pupils
  • Is skilled in all aspects of PE in the primary curriculum
  • Has experience teaching PE/ sport in primary schools
  • Has proven, effective and positive behaviour management skills
  • Is an excellent PE practitioner with high expectations and aspirations for the children
  • Has a coaching/ PE or sporting qualification
