Clerical Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated clerical assistant to work within Bassetts Farm Primary School from April 2020. This is an exciting role and lends itself to someone who has a wide range of administrative and interpersonal skills.

Required: 3 days a week: Wednesday 8:30am – 3:30pm, Thursday, 8:30am- 3:30pm Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

Term times only, ½ hour lunch per day.

Previous experience of working in a school setting is desired but not essential.

Our ideal candidate will: - Have a professional, calm and friendly approach; - Have sound administrative ability and excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office; - Be motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic in all aspects of their work; - Have confidence in using Management Information Systems and an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly; - Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including parents/carers, children, staff and visitors; - Show initiative and have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner; - Be hard-working and a good team player; - Be able to look and think ‘outside the box’; - Be enthusiastic, creative, innovative and prepared to ‘roll your sleeves up and get stuck in’; - Be well organised, yet flexible.
