Nursery- Bluebells
We are delighted to be able to offer a Nursery in our School. Starting Nursery begins our children's first steps to building A Love of Learning for Life.
Our Nursery Class, is run by qualified teachers with skilful teaching Assistants. It is a place where children learn through play and guided to make learning steps, build friendships and explore new opportunities. Children can attend Full Time or Part time and we can use government funding.
Our Bluebell class is to the side of the main school and has many wonderful activities taking place in a bright and spacious main room, whilst our smaller spaces offer a place for quiet reading time and language work.
Linking the nursery indoor and outdoor space is our covered decking area, Perfect for getting outside even in the wet weather. The benefits of outdoor play is invaluable and we prioritise opportunities for lots of outdoor experiences. Water play, exploration trays, the mud kitchen and art are just some of the favourites. We make good use of the large school playground and field for using our bikes, hoops and running games. We regularly use the Early Years garden - nestled at the bottom of the field, where we can explore under the canopy of trees. Here we love to plant seeds, grow flowers and have fun with our friends.
These are our Four Guiding Principles that guide our practice:
- Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured
- Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships
- children learn and develop well in enabling environments with teaching and support from adults, who respond to their individual interests and needs and help them to build their learning over time. Children benefit from a strong partnerships between practitioners and parents and/or carers.
- Importance of learning and development. Children develop and learn at different rates. Our curriculum covers the education and care of all children in Early Years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
