Spoken Language
Children’s spoken language is developed throughout the children’s time at Bassetts Farm Primary School and throughout all areas of the curriculum. Adults model good listening and speaking. Imaginative role play is a core part of children’s learning in reception and drama techniques such as ‘Hot seating’ and ‘Conscious alley’ are used to aid the development of speaking and listening, reading and writing skills, as well as to develop children’s confidence and self-esteem.

On National Poetry Day, we all enjoyed learning and performing poems to share with friends and family.
